Start with the pattern

- Ask whether neighbors also have reduced pressure.

Common causes
- A clogged faucet aerator or showerhead can reduce flow at one fixture. A partly closed valve, failing pressure regulator, active leak, supply-line restriction or utility-side issue may affect a larger area. Water-heater problems typically affect the hot side only.
When to call a plumber
- Call promptly if pressure dropped suddenly throughout the property, a leak is visible, the meter appears to move with fixtures off or the cause remains unclear. Avoid adjusting a pressure regulator without proper measurement and diagnosis.
