Good reasons to inspect

  • A clog keeps returning after ordinary clearing.
  • Several fixtures are backing up together.
  • Roots, damaged piping or a collapsed section are suspected.
  • The route or condition of an older line is unknown.
  • A repair or property project needs better information.

What a camera can—and cannot—show

  • A camera can document visible pipe condition, fittings, offsets, roots and some obstructions in accessible portions of a line. It cannot see through standing water, heavy grease or a complete blockage. Cleaning may be required first.

What to ask after the inspection

  • Ask what was clearly observed, where it was located, whether the full line was visible and which next step is supported by the findings.
