Agency documents and eligibility can change. The water provider—not a contractor website—is the final source for current approval, forms and submission rules.

What to have ready before calling a tester

  • The complete notice, including due date and account or assembly number.
  • The property address and name of the water provider.
  • Manufacturer, model, size and serial number when visible.
  • Photos showing the assembly and surrounding access.
  • Any prior failed-test report or repair history.

Testing, reporting and repairs

A tester performs the required field test and handles documentation according to the water provider's process. If the assembly fails, repair and a passing retest may be needed. Replacement may be appropriate when repair is impractical or the assembly does not meet the provider's current requirements.

Do not wait until the due date
